It was time to say good-bye to our car. Oscar William Greeley Green (named after one of my ancestors...yes, I have to name my cars) was almost 16 years old and had close to 300,000 miles. My mechanic said it was a miracle we made it to Idaho and back. The engine is going. The cost to fix it was more than the value of the car. It would have been harder to say good-bye to Oscar if Oscar had AC. It has been VERY hot and we were dying in our car without AC. Definitely time for a new car with AC. Good-bye Oscar!Hello, Lucky!!!! We just stimulated the economy by purchasing a 2008 Mazda5. I love it! It has enough room for all of us, yet is small enough to still get good gas mileage. We happily traded Oscar for Lucky.

YAY!
I've test driven a Mazda 5. NICE! It has the good gas mileage of a smaller car and those great sliding doors that open like a minivan. (For me, though, with 3 kids, it was a tad too small, thus my ending up with a roomy, but gas guzzling Odyssey)
I think you'll love it and Lucky is a good name!

Wow, that's a beautiful new car. I've eyed those for some time, but I have yet to buy a car brand new off the lot. My husband's car has over 300,000 miles on it and I thought he held the record. He's not allowed to put the baby in his car, however, which is why I get stuck with the car payment:) Congratulations!
Congratulations! I'm sorry about Oscar though. I too loved your sweet little car.
