Snow

What a strange weather day we had today. We had snow, rain, hail, and even a few sun breaks. It was snowing very hard in the morning and I thought that we would have a foot by noon. We ended up with about 6-8 inches. Darrington, just to the north of us, had 14.5 inches. Seattle just south of us had nothing. School was closed so I spent the morning reading and taking naps. The girls spent the morning watching movies, playing, and dancing. There was only about 2 inches left by the time we went sledding late in the afternoon.

The girls made the snowman all by themselves with the exception of me lifting the pieces and putting them into place. The snow was VERY heavy. We ended up using the sled as a ramp and sliding/rolling the middle section into place.
I thought the snowman should be named "George." The girls thought otherwise.

"It isn't a snowMAN. Why do all snowmen have to be boys? Our snowman is a girl. It's really a snowgirl. Her name is Crystal," said Rachel.

"Her middle name is Spring-Snow and her last name is Brittany," added Erin Joy.

There you have it...introducing Crystal Spring-Snow Brittany...

Close-up of the face...I helped the kids decorate by adding moss eyebrows and moss mucus hanging from the nose. Rachel thought it was disgusting and made me remove the moss after the picture:) She was also concerned that one eye was light and the other eye was dark. Silly girl.
