Yardwork

I love this little bank. It will soon be covered with Bleeding Hearts that grow wild. Rachel, Erin Joy, and I raked five wheel barrows full of leaves off of the Bleeding Hearts last night.

The daffodils are now blooming. I love daffodils. They are definitely my favorite spring flower. I love yellow flowers because they look so happy. I love spring! I love the new growth and I love the anticipation of summer and time to spend with my kids.

The girls were so excited to find this treasure in a pile of leaves. (We really did rake a few times last fall, but not enough apparently....)

I told them the Easter Bunny wouldn't need to come this year. We can just find all the eggs we missed last year. Erin Joy actually wanted to eat the candy.

My helpers raked and helped me plant grass. This spot hasn't had grass since the flood in 2006. The flood left stinky mud all over my yard. This spot was the worst. It killed the grass and I'm finally getting around to planting more grass.

Our lawn is full of moss. The girls discovered it was easy to pull up. Rachel wouldn't put moss on her head unless she had a helmet on.

Erin Joy, on the other hand, loved dressing up in the moss and being silly.
