BOY

My girls love to play with Polly Pockets and Barbies (among other things....).  They come up with clever names for all of the girl dolls, but they call the one token male "Boy."  If they play Barbies or Polly Pockets they always play with Ken or Steven too.  It is like a doll harem.  Lots of girls and one "Boy."  It is so funny to listen to them play.  I hear conversations like this:

"Let's go to the store, Boy."

"Hey, Boy, it is time for school.  Get on the bus Boy."

These Polly Pockets live in my shoes.  Nice.  I always have to check for toys before putting on my shoes.
This is the view from Erin Joy's car window.
She keeps a Barbie in the hand-holder-thingy so she can play in the car.
We have quite a collection of Barbies in the car, including Boy.  While we were staying at an apartment after our mudslide, I told my girls to choose some toys.  They chose a bunch of Barbies and the Barbies have remained in the car ever since.  It gives them something to play with I suppose.

They have a Cinderella Barbie that flashes blue when her shoes are pushed.  TWICE I have pulled over because I thought there was a policeman behind me when I saw flashing blue lights.  I'm not kidding.  It's kind of like the boy who cried wolf though...when a real policeman tries to pull me over, I will probably ignore the lights thinking it is Cinderella.  That could be a problem.....
