Clean Up Phase Three Continues

Notice the ruts left by the truck...the ground is extremely soft and very muddy...it is even worse farther back..

Child labor...it's a good thing they are having fun...I predict many more nights of shoveling and raking...

Hopefully, drain rock will help the swamp problem I now have.  With all the trees and brush missing from the bank, all the springs in the bank have been exposed and continue to seep down the bank and into my yard.  My yard is a constant swamp.  I'm hoping filling it with drain rock and putting topsoil over the rock will make it dry enough to plant grass.  

My attorney called yesterday, DEM called yesterday, and FEMA called yesterday.  Things are moving...slowly...

The shingles will be replaced/repaired this weekend and the gutters will be fixed soon.  The bank won't be stabilized for quite some time.  That involves suing the insurance companies of the people living above me in order to get enough money for the fix.  I can't believe that the cost of stabilizing the bank is more than my house is worth.  Unbelievable.
